A Hijama cup (cupping therapy cup) is a specialized medical-grade or traditional suction vessel used in wet and dry cupping therapy (Hijama) to draw blood, relieve muscle tension, and stimulate local microcirculation.

Key Types & Materials

• Plastic Suction Cups (Hand-Pump System): The most common modern variant, made from durable, medical-grade polycarbonate or acrylic. They feature a removable valve on top where a manual hand-operated vacuum pump attaches to create precise, adjustable suction without fire.
• Traditional Glass Cups: Classic spherical or bell-shaped cups made of thick glass. Traditionally used with a flame (fire cupping) to exhaust oxygen and create a vacuum seal, though some modern glass variants also fit vacuum pump adapters.
• Silicone Cups: Flexible, squeezable cups made of medical silicone. Users manually compress the cup to expel air and place it on the skin, offering gentle, portable suction ideal for massage cupping.
